2.

3.

The Councillors will be asked to say if there are any items on the Agenda in which they have disclosable pecuniary interests, which would prevent them from participating in any discussion of the items or participating in any vote upon the items, or any other interests.

Admission of the public

Most debates take place in public.  This only changes when there is a need to consider certain issues, for instance, commercially sensitive information or details concerning an individual.  You will be told at this point whether there are any items on the Agenda which are to be discussed in private.

Deputations / Petitions

The Committee will receive any petitions and hear any deputations from members of the public.  A deputation is where up to five people can attend the meeting and make a presentation on some particular issue of concern.  A member of the public can also hand in a petition at the meeting but that petition should relate to something on which the body has powers and responsibilities.

Kirklees Cycling and Walking Strategy

The Committee will receive an update on the strategy and discuss what local communities can do towards the key objectives.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service Plans in Kirklees Rural area

The Committee will receive an update from Yorkshire Ambulance Service on their plans in Kirklees Rural area.

Received an update (presentation attached) on proposed service changes to meet increased demand and discussed the impact locally.

The Committee considered applications for funding and made the following decisions:.

 

(1)       Noted the return to budget of £1,942 capital underspend regarding

PROW improvements CVBW 197, Colne Valley Ward

 

(2)       Approved funding as follows:

 

-           £450 revenue for provision of additional litter bins Tintern Avenue and Manor Road, Golcar (Golcar Ward)

-           £1,000 revenue for community safety activity in response to local issues that may arise in Holme Valley North Ward

-           £663 revenue for a Christmas tree in the centre of Meltham (Holme Valley North Ward)

-           £1,000 revenue grant to Honley Business Association towards the Honley Christmas lights switch on (Holme Valley North Ward)

-           £1,000 revenue grant to Holmfirth Christmas Team towards the purchase of Christmas lights in Holmfirth (Holme Valley South Ward)

-           £3,000 revenue to resurface the snicket off Abbey Road South, Shepley (Kirkburton Ward)

-           £3,500 revenue grant to Clayton West Cricket Club towards a new mower and roller (Denby Dale Ward)

-           £8,197 revenue for various Christmas trees in Colne Valley, Golcar, Denby Dale and Kirkburton Wards

-           £29,387 capital and £613 revenue for replacement fencing and tree work on the river corridor in the centre of Holmfirth (Holme Valley South Ward)

-           £16,000 New Homes Bonus match funding towards Crossing the Pennines bid to resurface Scout Lane, Cop Hill, Slaithwaite (Colne Valley Ward)

-           £39,500 New Homes Bonus towards provision of an off street car park on Springwood Road, Holmfirth (Holme Valley South)
