Appointment of Overview and Scrutiny Committees and Panels To consider the re-appointment of Committees and Panels for the 2023/2024 Municipal Year.
Members are informed that it is proposed that arrangements for representation of political groups on the Panels listed below should not be in accordance with the requirements of Sections 15 and 16 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, but as set out in the Agenda of the Meeting of Annual Council held on 24 May 2023.
This Notice is given in accordance with the Section 17 of the 1989 Act and Regulation 20 of the Local Government (Committee and Political Groups) Regulations 1990. The proposal shall require approval, with no Member of the Council voting against.
(a) Calderdale and Kirklees Joint Health Scrutiny Committee (b) West Yorkshire Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (c) Scrutiny Panel – Health and Adult Social Care (d) Scrutiny Panel – Growth and Regeneration (*) (e) Scrutiny Panel – Environment and Climate Change (*) (f) Scrutiny Panel – Childrens
(*) Subject to approval at the meeting of Annual Council
Decision: RESOLVED –
(1) That the appointment of the following Panels/Sub Committees be approved; (i) Calderdale and Kirklees Joint Health Scrutiny Committee (ii) West Yorkshire Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (iii) Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Panel (iv) Children’s Scrutiny Panel (v) Environment and Climate Change Scrutiny Panel (vi) Growth and Regeneration Scrutiny Panel.
(2) That the Panels and Sub Committees as set out at (1) above shall not be in accordance with the requirements of Section 15 and 16 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
Minutes: RESOLVED –
