Decision details

Following public engagement in January–February 2025, additional options for the eastern Commercial Street section of the Batley Town Centre Redevelopment Scheme were reviewed. This included further traffic modelling analysis to inform the decision. The Executive Board reviewed the options including whether to continue with the scheme as consulted on, or to pursue an alternative option that retained eastern Commercial Street open to traffic. Following this review a decision was taken to continue with the scheme as consulted on.

Acceptance to proceed with the Batley Town Centre Redevelopment Scheme as presented at consultation, with the addition of further traffic calming measures.
