Purpose:

Adult Services have tendered for construction for the proposed new build Dementia Day Care facilities to be provided on the Knowl Park House site, Mirfield. Tenders will be evaluated, and Cabinet approval is now sought to award a contract to appoint a contractor to enable the scheme to proceed.

 

Works are then anticipated to commence approximately June 2022 and complete by August 2023.

 

Decision:

RESOLVED – That approval be given to increase from £6.3m to £8.21m the total budget required for the project, to be funded from within the Adults Service existing capital programme, to enable the award of the construction contract to the successful tenderer thereby facilitating the delivery of the new facilities.
