Purpose:

The catering service is currently in contract with a supplier for the delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables, this contract supports the meal provision to pupils across 163 schools across Kirklees.

 

Due to significant inflationary pressures, specifically associated to the food industry the supplier is requesting a variation to prices within the contract for the period 1 September to 31 December 2023. This is in line with the current contract terms and conditions review period for pricing.

 

Decision:

The decision is to agree to the short-term request following a review of evidence provided by the supplier.
