CONTRACT REF: KMCHS-391 Framework Period: 1st January 2024 to 31st December 2025 with an option to extend for two further twelve-month periods until 31st December 2027
The contract is in place to supplement the delivery of highways projects. This Includes, but not limited to, Excavator with drivers, Hiabs and tippers with drivers and planning and surfacing machines. The capital required to purchase these items of plant, combined with the running costs and uncertainty of work dictates the hire model as the most economical. The current contract ends at the end of November 2023. A small extension will have to be in place to bridge the gap between the current ending and the new contract commencing.
Decision taken to let the contract on the basis that the service cannot be delivered without the support of Hired Plant and Vehicles.
