16 Update on Senior Management Arrangements

Decision:
1) That the recent appointments to the posts of (i) Service Director – Skills and Regeneration and (ii) Service Director – Commissioning, Quality and Health Partnerships be noted.
2) That approval be given to the commencement of a permanent recruitment process for the post of Service Director – Highways and Streetscene, in accordance with the Council’s established and approved chief officer recruitment practices.
3) That, pursuant to (ii) above, a Member Appointment Panel be appointed.
Minutes:
The Committee considered a report which provided an update on the
senior management structure and sought agreement to commence
permanent recruitment to the role of Service Director – Highways and
Streetscene.
The report advised that, pursuant to the previous meeting of the
Committee, appointments had now been made to the roles of (i) Service
Director – Skills and Regeneration and (ii) Service Director –
Commissioning, Quality and Health Partnerships.
The Committee were advised of the retirement of the Service Director –
Highways and Streetscene and were asked to agree to commence
permanent recruitment to the post, which had been subject to interim
leadership arrangements.
The Committee noted the appointments that had taken place and were
agreeable to undertaking permanent recruitment to the post of Service
Director – Highways and Streetscene.
RESOLVED
1) That the recent appointments to the posts of (i) Service Director – Skills and Regeneration and (ii) Service Director – Commissioning, Quality and Health Partnerships be noted.
2) That approval be given to the commencement of a permanent recruitment process for the post of Service Director – Highways and Streetscene, in accordance with the Council’s established and approved chief officer recruitment practices.
