Admission of the Public Most agenda items will be considered in public session, however, it shall be advised whether the Sub-Committee will consider any matters in private, by virtue of the reports containing information which falls within a category of exempt information as contained at Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Deputations/Petitions The Committee will receive any petitions and hear any deputations from members of the public. A deputation is where up to five people can attend the meeting and make a presentation on some particular issue of concern. A member of the public can also hand in a petition at the meeting but that petition should relate to something on which the body has powers and responsibilities.
In accordance with Council Procedure Rule 10 (2), Members of the Public should provide at least 24 hours’ notice of presenting a deputation.

Decision: The Sub Committee agreed: 1. To option 1 in the considered report to make a Definitive Map Modification to vary the particulars recorded in the Map and Statement in respect of the recorded width, with the addition and removal from the Statement of various limitations; and 2. That should the Order be opposed, and the matter referred to the Secretary of State, that the Council should actively support the confirmation of the Order at any public inquiry or hearing.
Note: Following publication of the decision a technical issue has been identified that affected the availability of the live stream of the meeting from the link on the Kirklees Council website. The issue only affected the full streaming of item 6 on the agenda.
Given that the discussions that led to the decision could not be viewed in full via the Council’s website it has been agreed that item 6 will be taken back to a future meeting of the Huddersfield Planning Sub-Committee for re-determination. |
