Agenda and decisions

Most agenda items will be considered in public session, however, it shall be advised whether the Committee will consider any matters in private, by virtue of the reports containing information which falls within a category of exempt information as contained at Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED – That the business for the meeting be considered in public.

To appoint the Standards Sub Committee for the ensuing year.

Members are informed that it is proposed that arrangements for representation of political groups on the Sub Committee should not be in accordance with the requirements of Sections 15 and 16 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and that the Sub Committee shall be constituted from the membership of Standards Committee.

This Notice is given in accordance with Section 17 of the 1989 Act and Regulation 20 of the Local Government Act (Committee and Political Groups) Regulations 1990. The proposal will require approval with no Member of the Council voting against.

RESOLVED –

1) That the appointment of the Standards Sub-Committee be approved.

2) That the Sub-Committee should not be in accordance with the requirements of Section 15 and 16 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 and that the membership shall be drawn from the membership of the Standards Committee.
