Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee

Purpose of committee

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee oversees the management, co-ordination and development of the overview and scrutiny function within the Council. Scrutiny acts as a check and balance to Cabinet decision making as well as looking at how services are delivered to local people.

 

Every year the Management Committee is responsible for setting up Scrutiny Panels and Ad Hoc single issue panels to deliver the Scrutiny Work Programme.
