Council
Purpose of committee
Meetings of Council are chaired by the Mayor and attended by all 69 Members of the Council. The purpose of the meetings is to determine the Council’s overall policy structure, and set an annual budget.
The meeting also provides an opportunity to hold the Leader of the Council and Executive to account, by allowing Members to ask questions on areas of Cabinet Portfolio responsibility, and Council Services.
