Committee details

The CSE and Safeguarding Member Panel is held once a month in private session.  The main focus of the Panel will be to:-

• To oversee local developments in the monitoring of, and response to, the risks associated with Child Sexual Exploitation.

• To satisfy themselves, as corporate parents, that the arrangements for safeguarding looked after children in Kirklees are sufficiently robust.

• To ensure that, where appropriate and having regard to confidentiality requirements, individual members of the Panel ensure that feedback is provided to members of their wider political groups.

The Health and Wellbeing Board is the parent committee for the Panel.  The Panel will, as appropriate, report on progress and emerging issues to the Health and Well Being Board in the first instance and the minutes of the CSE and Safeguarding Member Panel will be ratified by the Health and Wellbeing Board once they have been approved by the Panel.
