With the current double line arrangement on New Station Road it is impossible for traffic to pass in both directions.
This is because when the lines were repainted, they were not staggered as was the case previously. The original staggered double yellow lines were done so emergency vehicles could pass along the road unrestricted.
The appended diagram shows wht we would like the council to do to resolve the issue.
