PET001076 - South Street/Warren Street, Savile Town

Reconsider the traffic order which prohibits the waiting of vehicles at any time around the new Zakaria Education Centre on the corner of South Street/Warren Street.

Zakaria Education Centre is likely to generate significant additional demand for on-street parking on South/Warren Street and surrounding areas. Given that this is already an area with a considerable dem;rnd for on-street parking it is likely that this increase in demand would lead to indiscriminate parking that would be detrimental to highway safety and the free flow of traffic, as well as residential amenity.
The proposal would be detrimental to both the living conditions of nearby residents and to highway safety. Residents are already suffering because of the busy supermarket on the same junction and this additional restriction will make our lives even more difficult.
I would further Uke to add that residents were not consulted during the original planning application for Zakaria Education Centre as we would have objected on the grounds of parking issues. As I have stated above this is already a very busy area and to impose any restriction which impacts on residents is unfair and unjust.
I urge you to reconsider the above order and come up with a sensible solution which is acceptable fr, the residents.
