All Local Authorities must carry out a high
quality collaborative review of their high needs provision to
evaluate current provision for children and young people in
Kirklees with complex Special Educational Needs and/or Disability
(SEND).
The report details information gathered during the review, both by
analysing data and by public consultation, to evaluate current
provision and to determine how potential future capital funding
could best be used to improve sustainable specialist provision on
offer in Kirklees.
The report requests approval to submit proposals to the DfE to show
how improvements will be implemented and to draw down the £1m
capital funding available.
