Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)

The Statement of Community Involvement sets out the process the council will follow when undertaking public consultation on Planning Policy documents.

The current Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by Cabinet on 22nd September 2015. There are changes proposed to that document to reflect changes in data protection legislation and the duties on the council in relation to the Neighbourhood Planning process.

Background Papers:-

The role of the Statement of Community Involvement is to set out how the community will be consulted on Planning Policy documents including Area Action Plans, Supplementary Planning Documents and future revisions of the Local Plan.

This revision of the document includes amendments to reflect changes to the data protection legislation and also ensure the section on Neighbourhood Planning reflects national planning policy changes.
