This report will bring outline the work that has been undertaken in relation to the investment of Capital provision of Special School places and seek permission to progress further with detailed engagement and planning to include undertaking detailed technical feasibility work.

Reason for urgency:
Under the provisions of Regulation 5 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 the following report entitled - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) – Capital investment and rebuild of 2 Special Schools will contain an annex which may be considered, in private, at the meeting of Cabinet to be held on 5th October 2021.

As required by Regulation 5 of the Regulations, the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee has been informed of the matter about which the decision is to be made by and given the above notice.
