Household Support Fund

Decisions required regarding the distribution of £3.7m of government funding 06/10/2021 - 31/03/2022.

 

The Household Grant is a Government grant aimed at vulnerable households across the country who will be able to access a new support fund to help them with essentials over the coming months as the country continues its recovery from the pandemic.

Reason for urgency:
It has not been possible to give 28 clear days’ notice of the intention to make the Key Decision. The reasons why compliance is impracticable in this matter are as follows:-

It is crucial that decisions are made about the mechanisms to be used to distribute funding to those in greatest need as soon as is practically possible, discussions are ongoing with partner organisations to effectively consult on how that might be achieved.

In accordance with Regulation 10 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 (‘the Regulations’),the Chair of Overview and Scrutiny has been notified.
