Update on the Low Carbon Housing Pilot Project

A report outlining the Low Carbon Housing Pilot Project response to the Council’s climate emergency declaration, and the competitive tender process undertaken to procure a specialist qualified and experienced architect-led team to design the scheme and secure full planning permission.

 

The report will include a private appendix, providing commercially sensitive tender information. The report will request authority to proceed to appoint the design team to design the new housing and to consult members and residents and secure detailed planning permission prior to further Cabinet approval to proceed to build the scheme.

Submitted third party financial information to include in the report was still under evaluation at the time of the intended Key Decision publication date and an administrative error led to the Notice, although prepared, not being published on the intended date.

The draft update report and proposals have been considered by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the issue has been raised with the Chair of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee to ensure that this issue has been reported, noted and steps taken to address it.
