To update cabinet on progress of this scheme, to provide feedback on recent consultation activity in relation to a new residential respite offer, to seek permission to enact these changes and seek approval to allocate monies to enable the scheme to progress.

Service users and carers have been engaged via:

·         written correspondence to seek their views

·         telephone conversations to listen to their feedback

·         face to face drop in sessions to respond to key questions

 

Each affected service user and carer will also be involved through the strength based social work assessment process

 

Internal Council services as well NHS partners have been engaged and are supportive of the proposals
