Re Tender of the Kirklees Integrated Equipment Service (KICES)

KICES is a statutory service, funded by a section 74 pooled budget with funding from Adult Social Care, Childrens and Health. The current arrangement is due to end on 31st March 2025. This service requires a retender to ensure continuity of service. The alternative would be to bring the service ‘in house’ however this is rejected as it is recognised that the current arrangement is a more cost-effective option and allows us to maximise the support we can offer to residents.

For clarity, this is to re tender an existing, statutory service for which a budget is already approved and in place.
