The Council has been awarded the sum of £392,000 by the Department for Work and Pensions to provide a supported employment service for residents with learning difficulties and/or Autism. The funds will extend the contract to May 2026. The existing contract was due to end March 2025.
The Council will be matching in existing staff to the programme.
