For the fourth consecutive year White Rose Forest (WRF) has an opportunity to access funding from a global reforestation foundation called One Tree Planted (OTP).
The eligibility for this fund is based on photographic evidence of trees planted in the 2024-25 WRF woodland creation programme.
The WRF has been awarded a £68,486.80 contribution of OTP funds towards the ongoing establishment of 296,633 newly planted trees located at two significant WRF project sites in North Yorkshire.
The OTP foundation has recently verified a collective woodland creation claim submitted by England’s Community Forest (ECF) of which WRF is one of fifteen community forests. The donation is ready to be claimed and paid to Kirklees Council.
The WRF is a regionally delivered programme. The woodland creation schemes submitted for this particular funding claim were located in North Yorkshire.
