Following a tender process undertaken using the Competitive Process in accordance with the requirements of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 (PSR) the bidder was deemed to satisfy, or exceed, all minimum criteria required and was therefore awarded the contract.
The decision to go out tender using the competitive process allowed the Authority to make changes to the service specification and Contract Particulars, to reduce future risks associated with cost increases and under performance of KPI’s. This process also allowed the Authority to undertake benchmarking and market engagement prior to the tender exercise to ensure the new service was in line with current legislation, the latest operational practices and is fit for the future.
