The funding is delegated to WYCA via the Department for Education (DfE).
Adult Skills Fund (ASF) incorporates tailored learning (previously known as community learning) and formula funded Adult Skills Budget.
The funding awarded £656,553 is for Tailored Learning £622,181 and £34,372 ASB.
The primary purpose of Adult Skills Fund is to reach disadvantaged communities and individuals, to enable them to develop new skills, participate in learning and to progress towards further learning and/or sustainable employment. It will, however, also support wider outcomes including using it to improve health and wellbeing, equip parents/carers to support their child’s learning and develop stronger communities.
