Local Development Scheme

A Local Development Scheme (LDS) is required under section 15 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended by the Localism Act 2011). The LDS is the timetable for producing the planning documents that will make up the Local Plan. It provides details of what documents will be produced and when the public can expect to get involved.

The council has a LDS which covers the period 2014-2017. The purpose of the item is to update the current LDS to cover the period 2016 – 2019. It is intended that the updated LDS will be published on the council’s website.
