The report will request that Cabinet approves the future vision for Museums and Galleries which includes the reduction of sites from 6 to 3. It requests permission to seek expressions of
interest in the sites from which the Museums and Galleries service will withdraw.

Consultation process

A public engagement process was carried out between 4 and 24 July 2016, including public information events, an online and paper survey and standpoints in museum sites. The results of this engagement will inform the Cabinet decision.
