Purpose

To provide the opportunity for the people of Kirklees to experience a wide variety of arts opportunities including attending performances of the best touring companies in the country, utilizing the facilities of the Theatre for amateur and community performances, and participating in a host of arts activities aimed at both young and old.

Role/ Expectations of Representatives

The Council representatives involved in LBT are full Trust members and as such play a crucial role in the governance and decision making of the theatre.  The particular skill they bring to the Trust is an understanding of the different priorities and initiatives within KMC and therefore Council representatives are expected to keep the Trust informed so that the theatre can ensure its activities contribute directly towards the priorities of the Council.

Meetings/ Time Commitments

6 meetings per year, plus many special meetings. Most Members also join a Sub-Committee
