Purpose

·       To provide input and comment on the strategy for Locala, established to deliver Community, Health and Social Care to Kirklees and other areas.

·       To represent the members of Locala Community Partnerships CIC (Locala) Members particularly the Community members, providing a link between them and the Board of Directors of Locala and ensuring they have a voice.

·       Individual Council Members are expected to promote and encourage participation by members, and the community, in Locala’s affairs.

·       To ensure that the relevant interests of the communities served by Locala are appropriately represented. Individual Council Members have no authority to make decisions or to act in the name of Locala as individual Council Members.

·       To participate in sub committees of the Members’ Council.

Role/ Expectations of Representatives

Representatives are expected to have some knowledge of Community Health Care.

Meetings/ Time Commitments

Approx. 3-4 times a year.
