Purpose

The Transport Committee is authorised: 1.To monitor and manage the delivery of the Local Transport Plan across the combined area. 2. To determine which public passenger transport services the Authority should secure to meet public transport requirements which would not otherwise be met. 3. To formulate general policies about promoting; a) the availability and operation of public passenger transport services to meet the public passenger transport requirements the Authority consider appropriate to be met; or b) the convenience of the public in using such available services.
