BACKGROUND
The Trust was established as a requirement of a Section 106 Agreement for the site and operates as a liaison group for the local community allowing the operator to be kept informed about any problems being experienced by local residents, with the aim of resolving issues quickly and directly, and for the operator to seek the opinion of local residents on matters such as new proposals and restoration.
PURPOSE
To act as a liaison committee between the Landfill Operator and the local
Community
ROLE/EXPECTATIONS OF REPRESENTATIVES
Attending periodic meetings to represent the local community
MEETINGS/TIME COMMITMENT
4 to 6 meetings per year
RESTRICTIONS
None - to be decided by Kirklees Council, but preferably a Dalton Ward Member.
