Following the declaration of a Climate
Emergency and Air Quality Management Areas, reports and plans have
been presented to Cabinet in November 2019 to deal with the
challenges. Cabinet requested officers to go further and identify
additional action around sustainable travel. As a result, a further
report has been prepared recommending additional investment in
Electric Vehicles in the Council fleet and public charging
infrastructure – investment should be prioritised through the
budget setting process.
